"I have watched D&J from the start and it's a good show with a great cast. This episode S2 E5 went off the rails. Not helped by the ridiculous performance and writing for Joan's sister. But the plot was weak and there were scenes with our two leads that should have been re-done or ended up on the cutting room floor. Even they looked disinterested in the plot/scenes which smacks of poor direction. I'll keep watching, but just hope the director & writers stop trying to be sillier than Midsomer Murders or Father Brown. So many writers seen to think silly and goofy is funny ..."
