"This is a massive step in the right direction. Some character development, a touch of farce and genuine laughs. Nicholas Lyndhurst once again gives a top performance and there was David is starting to show a lot of promise with a more subtle performance. Even the firehouse is starting to become a nice change of scenery now. Yes it will never beat the original series (my all time favourite if you must know) but it's beginning to grow into a great show in it's own right. From what I've seen, I'd be happy with at least a third season but we're just missing the warmth ..."
