"Ep 2 picks up the slack from the opener, giving us more meat to chew on. The tension between Thompson and Bernthal starts to crackle, and we finally get a sense of the twisted history binding these characters together. The investigation moves forward with actual momentum, and the supporting cast gets more to do... particularly the scenes involving old friendships that clearly went sour. There's still some clunky plotting that doesn't hold up under scrutiny. One subplot hinges on draining a phone's battery to destroy evidence, which makes zero sense when police have chargers. M..."
