Take It And Come is a feature documentary following the young organizers of the #Cocks Not Glocks protest that took over the University of Texas at Austin campus in August of 2016. After the passage of SB-11, a bill allowing concealed handguns into college classrooms, the 'dildo protest' was aimed at the absurdity of Texas gun culture inserting itself into public spaces and risking the safety of the communities that share those spaces. As the 2016 Presidential election looms, the women of #CocksNotGlocks fight the oppressive politics of Texas with irreverent humor and satirical wit that sets the movement apart from other gun violence prevention efforts.

Angry at the passage of SB-11, 24 year-old UT alum, Jessica Jin creates a Facebook event inviting students to open-carry dildos on the first day of Fall classes. When the event goes viral, Jessica realizes that she must really engage with America's gun debate and bring the protest to life.

Jessica teams up with three UT students, budding activists like herself: Ana Lopez, sophomore and VP of Students Against Campus Carry; Rosie Zander, junior and active member of University Democrats; and Kailey Moore, a senior concerned about student mental health. With a week to pull everything together, the young women bond as they field interviews with major news outlets and contend with an increasing number of outspoken, pro-Campus Carry counter-protesters. The team receives countless sexist and racist comments online, along with threats against the protest.

Our story climaxes the day of the protest, as they release over 4,000 dildos onto the UT campus and encourage students to keep fighting campus carry. That night, as the team celebrates together, they cement their bond through sharing their own experiences with sexual harassment and personal safety.

The team is invited to the White House to join a round-table discussion on campus safety and enjoys a last hurrah as the #CocksNotGlocks team.
