"I stumbled across this documentary on free TV. I haven't actually watched that many biographies, but this one surprised me with the depth and honesty of its statements. It was very interesting from the start. Almost like a kind of "Hero's Journey"; but I wasn't prepared for the revelations about the filmmaker's motivations and his story of effort and inner work to transform his negative feelings into understanding and empathy, resulting in a film with many valuable lessons...."
