The life of our young protagonist turns upside down after suffering an accident and becoming paraplegic. Her dream of running in athletics is cut short and she has no choice but to use a wheelchair. In a laboratory she volunteers to test a new pair of robotic pants that would allow her to walk again. However, the test fails because there are still problems with the pants interpreting the signals from the young woman's brain. After speaking with the researcher responsible for the pants, the young woman decides to reconsider her goals and enroll in an engineering degree, so that she can work in the laboratory in the future to achieve mind-machine synergy. The years go by and the young woman manages to graduate from engineering and work in the laboratory. One day, the young woman discovers a way to achieve the synergy in question and manages to experience the sensation of walking again, taking another step forward.
