"A low budget but enjoyable film, there are some errors but nothing that would stop you watching it...."
💡 Did You Know?
Filmed in the style of the documentary series "Survivorman" with Canadian survivalist Les Stroud. The premise is nearly identical; Les is dropped in foreboding areas with only a small backpack of seemingly random objects. Les then utilizes what is left with him, instructing the viewer along the way, on survival techniques. Man Vs Wild alternates in POV (Point of View) and static shots with a video camera on either a tripod or the ground, and cameras mounted to selfie sticks or mounted to his person. One specific similarity between the movie and its apparent inspiration is the scene in which the lead character starts a fire with a polished soda can; its a technique Stroud successfully demonstrated in his series.
