"I've always enjoyed Danish series, in part due to them usually being free of the silly stereotypes that plague so many shows. Not so with this one. Ester is very likeable, but the long-suffering wife/mother/victim character is so tired, as is the story of a couple constantly fighting over whose career is the more important. And all the male characters are two-dimensional caricatures, either stupid, or weak, or arrogant, or why not all three. It's also hard to get engaged in the academic infighting and literal turf wars over historical artefacts. I really wanted to enjoy this show,..."
