"This was an excellent season finale, well written and acted, with an ending that was a true cliffhanger and left us looking forward eagerly to the start of season 19. (Incidentally, does anyone happen to know why 18 was shorter by two episodes than recent ones?) Personally speaking, I haven't been overly impressed with some of the episodes we've seen this year, and am still wondering why Helene Joy's appearances as Dr. Ogden have been so limited, but I was glad to see that the show can still reach the standards that drew viewers to it in the past.
