"Britain's Countryside Killers has decent enough true crime documentary episodes. They include detectives or reporters who actually worked on the crimes covered, rather than some random reporter or former officer who had only read about them and had nothing to do with the investigation. And a few of the episodes cover murders that haven't already been covered multiple times by other true crime documentary shows.
