"Nearly every pilot is considerably worse than the rest of the series, and this is no exception. The jokes are good and it was very nostalgic as I had seen this episode a few years ago on Netflix when I was 7 and easier to entertain. The story is good too, but with such a short runtime it's hard to make an actually compelling story. It also sets the tone for the rest of the series very well. A fourth wall breaking silly series for kids. Basically, Tails gets hurt in battle and Sonic fires him as his sidekick and tries to find a new sidekick, only for Tails, Dr Eggman and this weird anthr..."
