America&apos;s Second Pearl Harbor - And No One Talks About It

The night November 30, 1942 a convoy of eight Japanese destroyers conduct a critical supply run to Guadalcanal but they have a second mission to ambush the American task force they expect to engage them. The American task force finds the Japanese first launching a volley of torpedoes from their destroyers and gunfire from their cruisers. The Japanese flagship is badly damaged but the remaining destroyers complete their supply mission and, undamaged, counter attack with twice as many torpedoes causing massive damage to four of the American cruisers. The engagement became known as Battle of Tassafaronga.
