Actually better than I thought...

Right, well another movie that I hadn&apos;t already seen, nor actually heard about, prior to stumbling upon it by random chance. And of course I needed no persuasion to watch it, as I do believe in giving all movies a fair chance.

The storyline in &quot;Risqué&quot;, as written by Gary Preisler and Noah Blake, put together a script that actually proved more entertaining and enjoyable than I had initially anticipated. Yeah, I sort of judged the movie by it&apos;s cover; I mean, come on, it is not exactly a movie cover that screams inbound for a stellar movie experience.

It should be noted that the acting performances in the movie were good. And I was actually not familiar with a single actress or actor on the cast list, not that it was a bad thing. I do enjoy watching new and unfamiliar talents on the screen.

I would say that if you enjoy crime action movies with a dash of light comedy and one that doesn&apos;t take itself overly serious, then by all means give &quot;Risqué&quot; a chance. Of course, don&apos;t expect anything Award-winning here. And it is the type of movie that you watch once and never pick up a second time.

My rating of director Tony Dean Smith&apos;s 2025 movie &quot;Risqué&quot; lands on a five out of ten stars.
