Since the release of Mario Kart World I've honestly had trouble putting it down. Mario Kart World just turned out great. The trick system is a great addition, the Mario Kart stages often feature great creative and unexpected settings, and many of the levels are set up in such clever ways that allow for dozens of shortcuts, differing routes, wall-riding madness and generally a lot of crazy plays. I just really love Mario Kart World. There has however been one aspect of the game that I found disappointing. And that aspect is Mario Kart World's actual world. In my opinion Mario Kart World's open world was a mistake. So why do I think that this is the case? Well, I am glad you're asking, because this very thing is what this very video is all about. In this video we are going to take a look at what the open world actually is, how it changes the game, why I believe it is a letdown and most importantly of all, why I believe that the game would be even better without it.
