"First Flight has a charming concept: a little bird trying to learn to fly. The story feels warm and engaging as we follow the bird's attempts, failures, and determination. The animation quality is generally quite good, though the style isn't my favorite-I personally prefer old-school 2D animation over contemporary 3D. Of course, that's just a matter of taste. Since the whole point of this short is to depict the challenges the bird faces on its journey to first flight, I would have liked to see a few more failed attempts.
