"Horror shorts that manage to tell a complete story in just about two minutes are a real challenge. Too often they rely on jump scares, since there's little time for deeper buildup. Fortunately, that's not the case with Door. We're given several clues about the creature lurking behind the door, so its reveal-or lack thereof-never feels like a cheap trick. For such a brief film, I really appreciated the cinematography and the director's artistic choices, such as the silent yell and the perfectly timed camera angle shift as the character reacts.
