The Triple Nine Society, founded in 1978, is one of the top three most elite high IQ societies in the world, it is only open to adults with an IQ score at or above the 99.9th percentile of the human population (1 in 1,000) with a minimum average IQ of 146; Triple Nine has approximately 1,500 members worldwide.

The world's second most elite high IQ societies are the Prometheus Society (founded in 1982) & the Epimetheus Society (founded in 2006), both of which are open only to adults with an IQ score at or above the 99.997th percentile of the human population (1 in 33,333) with a minimum IQ average of 164; they have approximately 100 and 150 members, respectively. The most elite high IQ society is the Mega Society, founded in 1982, it is open only to adults with an IQ score at or above the 99.9999th percentile of the human population (1 in 1,000,000) with a minimum average IQ of 176; Mega Society has only 25 members worldwide.
