"FIRE THE WRITERS!!! DO IT TO SAVE THE SHOW!!! Sarah is the Superintendent, NOT A DETECTIVE, and NOT ON SWAT! The writers seem to have no clue about job roles and responsibilities. Sarah was running point on a bank robbery in the last episode, and was investigating the crime scene (where she just happens to find the buried murder weapon so easily)... SHE HAS PEOPLE FOR THAT! Then, there was the witch hunt for the parents of a deranged teenager. 💡 Did You Know?
The cold case involving the art heist seems to refer to the one that occurred at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in 1990. Several works by Rembrandt and Vermeer were taken. To this day, most of these works were never recovered. As a stipulation in Jack's will (which was Gardner's name among friends), the paintings would stay exactly where they were placed, and as the paintings were unrecovered, the empty frames serve as placeholders.
