Director Charles Band initially wanted model/actress Keep Chambers, who co-starred in his production Piranha Women (2022) to play the lead, but she had to drop out. Band cast porn star Lilly Bell instead. Given the fact that she has been doing hardcore film work for several years, Bell had no problem spending a large portion of Prompt's 62 minute running time fully nude, and acting out simulated sex and masturbation scenes.
