"The Manaki brothers shot this short film showing the locals celebrating the Epiphany. There's very little to this movie, if you are familiar with the customs and habits of people in Macedonia in 1905. I am not, so I find the details fascinating. Where they shooting this for me? No, almost certainly not. However, just as we can find fault in the attitudes and techniques of people twelve decades ago, we can find virtues they may not have considered. The sociological value of this movie makes it of interest to me...."
