A great surprise!

"I had no expectations about this one and had never heard of it before but it was effective, convincing and powerful stuff. The first thing it does well is to display the hardship of the lumberjacks' lives in the cold of Quebec's winter. (There are many false clichés about us Canadians but yes, I am a descendant of lumberjacks as most of us Quebecers are.) The second thing it does best is creating characters, situations and dialogues that make the whole thing a true and resonant experience. Impressive work all around. I don't know what they saw to call it a horror movie though...."
