"Slade is a crud. He seems to be a charlatan and extremely dangerous. We get the impression that he shot the record producer guy to protect Britney. She had been held hostage. Later, however, he seems to have other fish to fry. He is a manipulator, twisting things around to work for him. What his motivations are are unclear but he is definitely pulling strings all the time. We are introduced to some bad guys here who seem to feel that their turf is being invaded.
