"A few years earlier, the film Mr. Peabody and Sherman was released in theaters. Like all films based on segments of the 1960s Rocky and Bullwinkle show, the film flopped at the box office, even though its revenue was greater than its budget. Nevertheless, the film's positive reception was enough to inspire the creation of this TV show. Unlike the film which uses 3D cgi, the TV show uses 2G cgi. But that's okay.
