"This documentary gives us a short historical overview of Cambodia with the main focus on the years 1975 -79 when the Khmer Rouge took over. There are several interviews with survivors and their children and how they have attempted to adopt to the trauma of those years which shattered their country. The people have been psychologically damaged and they are now trying to adapt their country to a new modern world. This - for me - was a good introduction to this country. There is some exploration as to the reasons for the Khmer Rouge - beware of those who promise a utopia...."
