Ebenezer is a short film about a five year old boy who has never walked. When he was born in Ghana with twisted ankles, his father wanted to poison him and give birth to another child without defects but his mother would have no part of this plan. Without any words, the film vividly portrays the gratitude of a grieving widow that an old broken down wheelchair can be given to serve someone else, the feeling of purpose that the restoration of the chair gives to the prison inmate that performs the task, and the joy of the young boy Ebenezer that he will no longer be housebound while his friends are out playing soccer.
