Ann calls up Paul to see if he will met her for lunch. Paul is not overly enthusiastic, but says that he will meet Ann at the King's Plate. Ann asks Walter what he has planned for Jill, Jimmy and Buzz. Walter is having Jill read magazines on subjects she is not used to, so that it may broaden her horizon's. Jimmy will be sitting in with Walter and Carol and hone his craft since Jimmy is interested in art. Walter intends on Buzz making his music more of a career that just performing. Ann listens to Paul play the piano at the Kings Plate and wonders why Paul's set is so long. Paul comes over to Ann's table and says that he cannot have lunch with her. Ann inquires about what Mady may have said at dinner the night before. Paul responds that Mady did not say a thing. Ann is surprised and put off by Paul's aloofness. Jimmy attempts to flirt with Carol while he is at Walter's and fails miserably. Jimmy says to Carol that he can see she is waiting to pick up the pieces with Walter once he is divorced from Ann. Ann asks Walter if he has called his lawyer and disappointed that he has not, but promises to do so once Jimmy and Carol leave.
