"Four contemporary bakers are flung into the Victorian era to experience for themselves what it would have been like to ply their trade across that era. It's one of those ever-so-endearing "living history" type programmes which I'm fond of and fortunately it's fronted by slightly stiff but solid experts. The four bakers are fairly interesting characters, and it's quite entertaining to see them struggle with (or against) some of the brutal methods and recipes of yore.
