"The premise is that Vikings reached the new world long before Columbus did. This is interesting in that Vikings did so with far less technology and in open long boats. This has a number of implications though none of these are covered in the show. There are a few tidbits about Viking life and culture but not enough to be worth watching for that. Very interesting topic, but the repetition was so bad I had to find something else to do while watching this. The mind numbing slow pace and constant repetition left little in depth knowledge gained.
