Prancing Queen

Just a quick review this time, as I only gave &quot;Bound&quot; a couple of hours of my time before I felt I&apos;d see enough and could move on.

Through a constantly recreating and visually impressive virtual world, you control the character as she dances (literally) her way around the world, moving towards a giant monster that is destroying parts of it. There are 3D platform elements to the game and enemies and obstacles that can be shaken off with more elaborate dance moves.

As I say, the game is visually impressive. Though made of basic geometric shapes the movement of the level, and the way the levels are created and dismantled around you is a sight to behold. The movement animations for the character you play as are good too. It&apos;s a little like &quot;P.N.03&quot; for anyone old enough to have experienced that Gamecube exclusive. The trouble is, it&apos;s not much fun to play for more than a few minutes. The platforming is pretty basic and very forgiving if you should fall into the sea below. The combat, or escape mechanic from the combat is perhaps a better description, doesn&apos;t seem particularly intuitive though, I just tended to mash the buttons until I could keep going.

There are some other bits between levels, investigating what feels like a 3D rendered memory - but the aim of these sections aren&apos;t clear, eventually a door opens and you can move on.

I played it for a couple of hours and I think I saw most of the game. It wasn&apos;t awful, but by the same token I didn&apos;t find it interesting enough to keep going.
