Way too long, and crying out for a screenwriter

Cheer Squad Sleepovers Episode 10

There are many defects in this 10th volume of what has become (in this current era where jail-bait porn has ascended to the top) one of Girlfriends Films&apos; most popular series. I&apos;ll try to describe them briefly here, part of my ongoing constructive criticism aimed at the ground-breaking Lesbian Porn label.

The very minor story depicted here runs ridiculously over 3 and a half hours, at least double the proper length. That&apos;s because the anonymous fimmakers at Girlfriends (more about the poor credits policy TK) literally beat around the bush, since filming without a script is their chintzy approach. So it takes forever for the actresses to improvise their way into a sex scene, whereas some sharp dialog and professional storytelling could get there more subtly and efficiently.

This is most evident in the first half of the show, which splits neatly into two parts. The cheerleaders are at a hotel, presumably for a road game for their team, and the two staff ladies accompanying them turn out to be horny young cougars. They visit the room of young Ashlie Oliver and Whitney Westgate and offer to swap room assignments, so that buxom Brooklyn Chase gets to share with Ashlie, while Adriana Chechik takes buxom Whitney under her wing in a double bed. 

The resulting two older/younger Sapphic sex scenes eat up an hour and a half including the very dull cajoling that takes place before going full XXX. Chechik surprisingly refrains from her trademark squirting routine, but otherwise this is generic sex very dully presented. 

Second half of the show is far more interesting but deeply flawed as well. Scarlet Red is showcased for over two hours, first seduced by fellow cheerleader Jenna J. Ross in a dumb skit involving her avocation as a webcam girl. This Ross/Red vignette takes 72 minutes to complete, the length of what used to be a feature, hardly what constitutes today&apos;s standard of a &quot;scene&quot; to stream.

Finale has an uncredited actress dominating the show as Red&apos;s mom - her acting and command of her scenes well worth a screen credit, but NO, since she doesn&apos;t have sex she doesn&apos;t count in the warped Girlfriends universe. She does go topless and also uncredited is a pretty, well-built young student she&apos;s helping with a school science project. I was unable to identify either NonSex actress, and the kid displays her body in a shower scene, still no credit.

Rather unconvincing story line has mom determining that daughter Scarlet is a lesbian in the rough, and she acts as matchmaker, hooking Red up with college student Charlotte Stokely for a full-scale initiation. The sex is well-executed and arousing, but the situation is completely phony and rather stupid. It merely proves that not everyone can concoct and flesh out a convincing story -that&apos;s why screenwriters exist and even get paid for their trouble.
