💡 Did You Know?
13 years after this episode, Geneviève Donadini (the one and only female juror in Christian Ranucci's trial) decided to write down a few interesting things in a short book, completing Paul Lefèvre's professional and objective reports/reviews for French TV channel Antenne 2 on this peculiar and rather light-speed (2 days) trial:
1) The very present hateful crowd in demand of revenge by blood spill clearly hear-able from the inside of the courthouse
2) The lack of providing a text support of the case (the jury was given absolutely no copy of the case file ...too bad as several things weren't really matching in this file... including the "murder weapon" hiding/discovery, and some essential datas were oddly missing, especially about the autopsy)
3) Some imposed elements were very disturbing and highly shocking (presence of blood), everything seemed to have been set up to appeal to affect rather than intellect
4) So... the verdict was mainly decided on the basical hate feeling and the various words pronounced/exchanged during the session (among that a 3 Hours length pleading... wondering which one of the lawyers committed this long monologue and about its genuine impact on the audience and jury ...and too wondering who did dismiss the other female juror... and finally wondering what would have happened if the majority wouldn't have been reached for the verdict... so at least 8 on 12 asked for death... but maybe only one didn't, French law forbids to know more about it)
The affect was especially appealed by one shoe.
Geneviève Donadini even talked about this one and only shoe in various medias presenting her book.
Just like Gilles Perrault ...a one and single shoe mentioned !
This leads to one very simple question: Where is the little girl's second shoe ?
Geneviève Donadini seemed to have been held hostage by the system, seemed to feel having been forced to take part in a firing squad she didn't want to.
