A new murder case is keeping Sonja Schwarz busy. In order to solve the violent death of a driver in a marble factory, she has to neglect her work at the winery once again. Now, of all times, she can't rely on the criminal investigation team either: there's a leak there. Special investigator Carla Pisani is also targeting "Capo" Zanchetti, who gambles in illegal poker games at night. Soon, like the murdered man, he is in huge debt to the brutal arcade owner Franco Gentile. Gentile doesn't shy away from putting the high-ranking police officer through the wringer. The Mafia governor in Bolzano, Rossi, can't afford any trouble right now. He is under observation by Luca Rizzi, the "family's" devious accountant, and has to fear for his own life.
