Much better than I expected

SHAOLIN TERMINATOR is a South Korean martial arts epic about a Jet Li lookalike hero who finds himself battling a slavery cult after intervening to help rescue a woman and child. I wasn&apos;t expecting much from this film, which is best known for being chopped and pasted into Godfrey Ho&apos;s AMERICAN NINJA: THE MAGNIFICENT, but it turns out to be pretty good. It&apos;s a film with cinematography which looks lovely in HD, with lots of interesting scenery from canyons to forests and waterfalls. The story is inevitably action-packed, with solid choreography and an army of white-clad ninja warriors for our fearless hero to go up against. Yes, the English dub is typically diabolical, but the rest of this works pretty well indeed.
