He has overcome many technical problems including crack, deformation, and breakage in rosewood artefacts that existed in the Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasty, and has uncovered the secret to allow a tiny space for wood shrinkage and expansion in rosewood furniture. To quote Wang Shixiang, a well-known collector in China, as saying, "Mr Gu's artefacts are smoother than jade, milder than anything that you ever felt, and silkier than the skin of teenage maidens." His work has already been regarded as part of the world's best luxury. Mr Gu has built a team of dedicated artisans, who have consistently adhered to the principle of delicacy, precision and exquisiteness.
