"Here we have a 40 year old claim that: there were never as many people murdered with guns when he was in High School That would be 25 years ago. In fact the oppose is true, US gun murder rate today is HALF of what it was 25 years ago according to both CDC and FBI metrics on gun homicide rates. Just go to the FBI "UCR" (Uniform Criminal Report) webpage and look at firearms homicide rate 1993 and 2017-18. And not only is overall homicide rate down 50%, homicide of high school age cohort is down almost 60%. High school age kids have NEVER been safer than today...."
