"This episode had a lot of semi-payoffs that were being built up the whole season, with basically every character getting their call to action. That said, this show certainly felt like it would be a ten episode miniseries with Zeus dying in the end (not saying whether or not that happened this episode, just that it was the vibe I was getting from the first half of the season). It's hard to give this episode anything higher than an 8, because there wasn't anything that felt particularly conclusive about it. Season two will likely be much more straightforward and with less foreshadowin..."

The fruit Zeus (Jeff Goldblum) is cutting open is a pomegranate. The Pomegranate was a symbol of mortality, fertility, and the Underworld. As the fruit is ripe in late autumn, it serves as a reminder of the inevitability of Winter death.
