The majority, if not all, of the cast and crew are residents of France and are native French speakers, despite the movie being set in London, England and being entirely in English.
Maxence Danet-Fauvel, who portrays Voldemort in the film, did not speak English prior to being cast in the film. He had been sent the script and had to learn all of his lines phonetically, working alongside voice coaches on set in order to recite his lines and go from his native French accent to a British one.
