Pride is thrown out the back of the van on what appears to be a straight road. After talking to his "Angel" for a few minutes she warns him about the truck heading towards him. Truck driver would have seen him in the road and warned Pride to get out of the way long before then. This seems to be an American program makers staple scene. It is used at least once in every American program.
