Mr. Robot likes to eat Fruits, but when he eats them they explode. One day, robotic drones take over the electro-abyss so Mr. Robot eats fruits to eliminate the enemies with the explosions.

Don&apos;t Die Mr Robot: Addictive yet repetitive

Don&apos;t Die Mr Robot is an independent arcade style game that I found myself both enjoying immensely and being really frustrated with.

It has no plot and you barely even play a character in the traditional sense. You control a square with a face (Yep!) as you navigate the empty void avoiding enemies and collecting fruits. Fruits explode on contact killing all surrounding enemies or starting a chain reaction with other neighboring fruits.

So that&apos;s basically it, very basic stuff aimed at high scores (Hence the arcade style). Yet despite this it manages to be enjoyable and as is commonly the case with simple concepts it&apos;s actually really quite addictive as well.

With an array of different game modes and challenges, quirky visuals and arcade-esque audio I certainly see the appeal. Despite it&apos;s simplicity it&apos;ll appeal more to hardcore gamers than casual as it&apos;s only real purpose is beating your high score which becomes increasingly difficult to do.

Sadly that&apos;s it, the game modes though varied are also limited and you&apos;ll struggle to find much replay value if you aren&apos;t committed to score beating.

I like Don&apos;t Die Mr Robot, but I don&apos;t have enough patience to stick with it for the long haul and don&apos;t think it&apos;s quite as addictive than others of its ilk.
