"I watched this movie without knowing what to expect and loved it. It has all the elements of a classic film noir a corrupt and burnt out cop, upperclass scandal and corruption, interwoven tales of underworld economy against the heady setting of Dominica Repblic on the eve of a hurricaine. Such good performances too, especially Perez who can luck disheveled and terrible and by turns can look kind of handsome and sexy. The Candela character is played beautifully what an amazing performance. So good. The visual beauty of the movie is amazing, ranging from gritty to spectacularly lush and colorful..."
